Last week, I presented a bracket of 32 movie soundtracks selected from the years 1976-85. Click here for that post and a printable bracket. Today, we crown the champion movie soundtrack:

- #131 on Rolling Stone magazine's 2003 list of 500 greatest albums of all time.
- Grammy Award for Album of the Year (1979)
- Added to the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress on March 21, 2013 for long-term preservation
- 2004 Grammy Hall of Fame inductee
Peak on the US Billboard Top 200 chart: #1 (24 consecutive weeks, January 21 - July 1, 1978)
Peak on Billboard's R&B albums chart: #1 (5 consecutive weeks, February 18 - March 18, 1978)
