Best albums of 1982: MFD vs. SUE

vs.

For my own amusement, I put together this quick comparison of two lists: the Top 100 albums of 1982, determined by the readers of the wonderful website Slicing Up Eyeballs and the 82 of '82 list here at My Favorite Decade.  Comparing my 82 with SUE's top 82, there are 27 commonalities (33%).  We agreed on the top spot, but not much else.

Since I titled this blog "My Favorite Decade" and not "My Favorite Year," I think I'll leave 1982 alone and turn my attention to other years for a while.

  1. We all know 1982 is the greatest year ever in pop music. Nuff said. The music speaks volumes and your efforts to get some critical agreement were noble but ultimately fruitless.

I nominate 1978 as the next year we focus on and scrutinize. Also open to 1976, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1983 and 1984. But not 1985.
