As I was vinyl hunting in Austin this past weekend, I made my first visit to a store named End Of An Ear that had records sorted by the usual genres: rock, folk, blues, jazz, electronic, metal, etc.  And then I came across this gem of a section, the only music in the store delineated purely by decade:

No further explanation is required.

Yes, I purchased vinyl from this section; this surprises no one.


  1. Did you get "Heyday," that Church album? I'm having a moment, because I am listening to the Church on spotify right now, and just saw this post with that picture. I am not listening to that album, but pretty good synchronicity nonetheless.

    1. I did not. I picked up some choice Heaven 17, though.
