Disco hits of Don Henley 1976-1985

Yeah, you read that right.  During the years 1976-1985, Eagles drummer Don Henley placed 2 hits on Billboard's Disco Chart.  Here's a breakdown table, including year, peak chart position, and number of weeks on the disco charts.

Don't get me wrong, I like both songs, but disco?  IMO, they're both kinda slow for dancing.  However, I will admit to dancing to both of them back in the '80s.  Then again, I'd dance to just about anything in the '80s if it meant I could get close to a girl.

  1. I think you'll find Henley is but the tip of the iceberg when it comes to head-scratching acts on the Disco charts.

When "Dirty Laundry" debuted at #61 on the Dance/Disco Top 80 chart for week ending November 20, 1982, the top 4 songs in order were:
    "Nasty Girl" - Vanity 6
"The Look Of Love" - ABC
    "Mickey" - Toni Basil
    "Don't Go" - Yaz

When "All She Wants To Do Is Dance" debuted at #42 on the fifty position Hot Dance/Disco Club Play chart on April 13, 1985, the Mary Jane Girls were at the top of the chart with "In My House" while over on the Hot Dance/Disco 12 Inch Single Sales chart, Patti LaBelle's "New Attitude" b/w Harold Faltermeyer's "Axel F." held down the top spot.

Kinda cool that both of these Henley songs have been featured on 1985: A Vinyl Odyssey site:
"Dirty Laundry" was on Day 21 while "All She Wants To Do Is Dance" was on Day 32.
