I had such a good time putting together last week's list of The Top Billboard Top 40 Artists of 1976 - 1985, I thought I'd put together a similar list for Adult Contemporary charts. From 1973-79, the chart was titled "Easy Listening" and had 50 chart positions. In 1979, the title was changed to "Adult Contemporary." In 1984, the title was changed to "Hot Adult Contemporary" and reduced to 40 chart positions.
The following 50 acts had at least ten singles premiere on the Billboard AC charts in the years 1976-85. Next time, we'll start ranking them by number of debuts.
