Even though the bottom half of the bracket wasn't as strong as I would have hoped, I think the Chicago song is still the best of the bunch. Nonetheless, it can't beat Careless Whisper which not only wins this contest, it also achieved the following:
- peaked at #8 on the Billboard R&B chart
- spent 5 weeks atop the Billboard AC chart
- spent 3 weeks atop the Billboard Top 100
- topped the charts in no fewer than 8 countries worldwide
- finished the year as Billboard's #1 song of 1985
